Robert B. Simon, President Curriculum Vitae
Robert B. Simon received his doctorate in art history from Columbia
University and has lectured extensively and authored numerous publications in
the fields of Old Master paintings, connoisseurship, valuation, and
collecting. He has been a research fellow at the Metropolitan Museum of Art,
a6s well as a consultant to museums, art dealers, institutions, and private
collectors. He is an Accredited Senior Appraiser of the American Society of
Appraisers and a Certified member of the Appraisers Association of America,

Lydia Melamed Johnson, Gallery Director
Lydia Melamed Johnson came to Robert Simon Fine Art with a specialization in Italian
Old Master paintings and sculpture of the late Renaissance and Mannerist
periods. Following an extensive research program on early patronage in the
workshop of the Venetian painter Tintoretto, she graduated with honors in the
History of Art and European Studies from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
During her time at university she worked at such institutions as Sotheby's in
New York and the Villa I Tatti: The Harvard University Center for Renaissance
